Rhéal Bélisle
Rhéal Bélisle (July 3, 1919 – November 3, 1992) was a Canadian politician in Ontario. He was a Progressive Conservative member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1955 to 1963 who represented the northern Ontario riding of Nickel Belt. From 1963 to 1992 he was a member of the Senate. Born in Blezard Valley, Bélisle worked as a farmer and businessman before entering politics. He left the provincial legislature in 1963, when he was appointed to the Senate of Canada by John Diefenbaker John George Diefenbaker ( ; September 18, 1895 – August 16, 1979) was the 13th prime minister of Canada, serving from 1957 to 1963. Rhéal Cormier
Rhéal Paul Cormier (; April 23, 1967 – March 8, 2021) was a Canadian-American professional baseball left-handed pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB), for the St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox (twice), Montreal Expos, Philadelphia Phillies, and Cincinnati Reds for 16 seasons, between 1991 through 2007. He was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in the Class of 2012. Early life Cormier was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, on April 23, 1967. His parents were Ronald and Jeanette Cormier; they were of Acadian descent. Cormier attended Polyvalente Louis-J.-Robichaud in his hometown. He went on to study at the Community College of Rhode Island, earning All-American honours in 1987 and 1988. Cormier pitched for the Canadian national baseball team at the 1987 Pan American Games and the 1988 Olympics. Rhéal Éloi Fortin () is a Canadian lawyer and politician, who is the member of the House of Commons for Rivière-du-Nord. A lawyer by profession, he is the president of Bissonnette Fortin Giroux, a law firm in Saint-Jérôme. He studied law at University of Sherbrooke. He was elected to the House of Commons of Canada in the 2015 election in Rivière-du-Nord as a member of the Bloc Québécois, Fortin was named interim leader of the Bloc Québécois on October 22, 2015 following the resignation of Gilles Duceppe as leader after Duceppe was unable to win his seat in the election. He served as interim leader of the party until the next leader, Martine Ouellet was named on March 18, 2017.
