Rhonda Marshall Fields is a Democratic Party (United States), Democratic politician from Colorado. She represents Colorado's 28th Senate district, District 28 in the Colorado Senate. During the 2020 reapportionment process, Buckner's residence moved from senate district 29 to senate district 28. Earlier, she represented Colorado's 29th Senate district, District 29 from January 2017 to January 2023. Previously, she served as member of the Colorado State House of Representatives representing District 42 from Aurora, Colorado. She was the first African American woman elected in State House District 42, as well as the first President pro tempore, Speaker pro Tempore. Colorado's 28th Senate district is one of 35 districts in the Colorado Senate. It has been represented by Democratic Party (United States), Democrat Rhonda Fields since 2023. Prior to redistricting the district was represented by Democrats Janet Buckner and Nancy Todd. Geography District 28 is based in southern Aurora, Colorado, Aurora, also covering parts of unincorporated Arapahoe County, Colorado, Arapahoe County. The district is located entirely within Colorado's 6th congressional district, and overlaps with the 36th, 40th, 41st, 42nd, and 56th districts of the Colorado House of Representatives. Childhood obesity is a condition where excess body fat negatively affects a child's health or well-being. Arapahoe County ( ) is a county located in the U.S. state of Colorado. As of the 2020 census, its population was 655,070, making it the third-most populous county in Colorado. Terrance D. Carroll (born January 16, 1969) is an American lawyer, minister, former Colorado legislator and former Speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives, the first African American ever to hold that office in Colorado.
