Remi Adefarasin, British Society of Cinematographers, BSC, is an England, English cinematographer. He is educated in Photography & Filmmaking at Harrow Technical College. He started his career as a camera trainee at BBC-TV's Ealing Studios. His work on ''Elizabeth (film), Elizabeth'' (1998) won him awards for Best Cinematography from British Academy of Film and Television Arts, BAFTA and the British Society of Cinematographers, as well as a "Golden Frog" from Camerimage and an Academy Awards, Academy Award nomination. For his work on ''Elizabeth'', he became the first black person to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Cinematography. The British Society of Cinematographers (abbreviated B.S.C. or BSC) was formed in 1949 by Bert Easey (23 August 1901 – 28 February 1973), the then head of the Denham and Pinewood studio camera departments, to represent British cinematographers in the British film industry. The stated objectives at the formation of the BSC were: * To promote and encourage the pursuit of the highest standards in the craft of Motion Picture Photography. * To further the applications by others of the highest standards in the craft of Motion Picture Photography and to encourage original and outstanding work. * To Cooperation, co-operate with all whose aims and interests are wholly or in part related to those of the society. * To provide facilities for social intercourse between the members and arrange lectures, debates and meetings calculated to further the objects of the Society. Peter Howitt (; born 5 May 1957) is a British actor and film director. Biography Early life Howitt was born on 5 May 1957, the son of Frank Howitt, a renowned Fleet Street journalist who, in 1963, broke the infamous Profumo Scandal by getting the exclusive story from call girl Christine Keeler of her illicit affair with a high ranking government minister. Howitt grew up in Eltham, London and Bromley, Kent. He was educated at Wyborne Primary School in New Eltham and Colfe's Grammar School in Lee, South London.
