The tracks on this volume are extracted from the master tapes for the long sold-out special edition tour CD release of ''Fly'' (1995). Crossover is a term applied to musical works or performers who appeal to different types of audience. This can be seen, for example, (especially in the United States) when a song appears on two or more of the record charts which track differing musical styles or genres. If the second chart combines genres, such as a " Hot 100" list, the work is not a ''crossover''. In some contexts the term "crossover" can have negative connotations associated with cultural appropriation, implying the dilution of a music's distinctive qualities to appeal to mass tastes. Dreamchaser
''Dreamchaser'' is the eleventh studio album by English singer Sarah Brightman. This album is Brightman's first collaboration with producer Mike Hedges and centres on the concept of space. The offering was inspired by Brightman's decision to become the first singer in outer space, as she intended to launch on an orbital spaceflight mission to the International Space Station (ISS) in partnership with Space Adventures, Ltd., a private space experiences company. Nevertheless, in March 2015 it was announced that Brightman had postponed the flight due to personal reasons. It was released in Japan on 16 January 2013 and in the United Kingdom on 8 April 2017 and in the North America on 16 April 2013 to critical acclaim. Soprano
A soprano () is a type of classical female singing voice and has the highest vocal range of all voice types. Royal Philharmonic Orchestra
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) is a British symphony orchestra based in London, that performs and produces primarily classic works. The RPO was established by Thomas Beecham in 1946. In its early days, the orchestra secured profitable recording contracts and important engagements including the Glyndebourne Festival Opera and the concerts of the Royal Philharmonic Society. After Beecham's death in 1961, the RPO's fortunes declined steeply. The RPO battled for survival until the mid-1960s, when its future was secured after a report by the Arts Council of Great Britain recommended that it should receive public subsidy. A further crisis arose in the same era when it seemed that the orchestra's right to call itself "Royal" could be withdrawn. In 2004, the RPO acquired its first permanent London base, at Cadogan Hall in Chelsea. Frank Peterson
Frank Peterson (born 29 December 1963) is a German music producer known for his work with Enigma and artists such as Sarah Brightman, Ofra Haza, Gregorian, Princessa, and Andrea Bocelli on his first international album, '' Romanza''. Peterson was born in Hamburg. As a child, he taught himself to play the piano and keyboard, going on to work in a music store. It was here that he met Michael Cretu and became lead keyboardist for Sandra, appearing prominently on her hit single "Maria Magdalena". He was a member of Sandra's band for a few more years, then moved with the Cretus to Ibiza. While there, he became involved with Cretu's new project, Enigma, under the pseudonym of ''F. Gregorian''. Peterson contributed to their first album, '' MCMXC a.D.'', writing several tracks. He left the group in 1991 and pursued work on Gregorian, a musical project co-founded by Thomas Schwarz and Matthias Meissner.
