Geography Since 1984, federal electoral division boundaries in Australia have been determined at redistributions by a redistribution committee appointed by the Australian Electoral Commission. USS ''Rankin'' (AKA-103/LKA-103) was a in service with the United States Navy from 1945 to 1947 and again from 1952 to 1971. She was finally sunk as an artificial reef in 1988. HMAS ''Rankin'' is the sixth and final submarine of the ''Collins'' class, which are operated by the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). Named for Lieutenant Commander Robert William Rankin, the boat was laid down in 1995, and commissioned into the RAN in March 2003, following major delays. Early in her career, ''Rankin'' was the subject of a documentary series and a coffee table book. She was the first submarine since 1987 to be awarded the Gloucester Cup. John Rankin Waddell (born 1966), known as Rankin, is a British photographer and director who has photographed Kate Moss, Madonna, David Bowie and The Queen. The London Evening Standard described Rankin's fashion and portrait photography style as ''high-gloss, highly sexed'' and ''hyper-perfect''. He has directed music videos, documentaries, a feature film, short films and commercials. Early life and education Rankin was born in Glasgow. His family moved to Yorkshire in 1976 where he attended Thirsk School, before they relocated to St Albans and he studied at Beaumont School. He worked as a hospital porter when he was 20 and studied accounting at Brighton Polytechnic until he realised his interests lay elsewhere and dropped out. Rankin took up photography on a BTech course at Barnfield College in Luton, and then a BA course at the London College of Printing. He did not graduate from either. Rankin is a city in Upton County, Texas, United States. Its population was 778 at the 2010 census. It is named after F.E. Rankin, a local rancher. It is the county seat of the thinly populated county; in 2010, only 3,355 people lived in the entire county, and McCamey was the only larger town. During the early 20th century, the town grew due to the discovery of oil in the nearby Yates Oil Field. However, since a second oil boom in the '80s, the town has seen a decline in its economy and population. Geography Rankin is located at (31.224412, −101.940866). The George Rankin Jr. Memorial Bridge is a cantilever bridge that carries the Green Belt across the Monongahela River between Whitaker and Rankin in Pennsylvania in the USA. It carries four lanes of automobile traffic, plus pedestrian walkways, both paved with concrete. The bridge carries over 22,500 people per day. The bridge and many of its approach ramps were originally built with tram tracks, all of which have since been removed. History The Rankin Bridge was built on the site of the 1897 steel truss West Braddock Bridge, a narrow trolley bridge equipped with a wooden deck.
