Rafael Silva (; born March 20, 1985) is a retired Brazilian professional mixed martial artist who competed in the Bantamweight division. A professional competitor since 2005, Silva has competed in his native Brazil for most of his career, but has also multiple bouts in Pancrase, where he was the Bantamweight King of Pancrase, and Bellator MMA. Background Silva started training martial arts at the age of 15. His brother Julio Cesar Neves is also a professional mixed martial artist. Guillotine Choke
The guillotine choke, also known as Mae Hadaka Jime (前裸絞, "front naked choke"; compare to a rear naked choke) in judo, is a chokehold in martial arts applied from in front of the opponent, often on the ground but can also be done while standing. The choke involves using the arms to encircle the opponent's neck in a fashion similar to a guillotine. Application The technique is either a type of tracheal compression restraint (wind choke) that prevents air flow to the lungs, or a blood choke depending on how and where pressure is applied, the trachea versus arteries respectively. It can be applied both standing and from the ground, and can be used as a defense against a double leg takedown. When executed from the ground, the person applying it will try to control the opponent by the hips, for instance using a closed guard. 2017 In Rizin Fighting Federation
The year 2017 was the 3rd year in the history of the Rizin Fighting Federation, a mixed martial arts promotion based in Japan. 2017 started with Rizin Fighting Federation 5 in Yokohama. It started broadcasting through a television agreement with Fuji Television. In North America and Europe Rizin FF 5 was available on FITE TV. Masakatsu Ueda (born December 21, 1977) is a professional Japanese mixed martial artist who currently competes in the bantamweight division of Pancrase. Ueda was also a college level wrestler in Japan, where holds a win over fellow mixed martial artist and Japanese superstar Norifumi Yamamoto, better known as "Kid" Yamamoto.
