Ruth Richardson (born November 27, 1976) is an American politician serving in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2019. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), Richardson represents District 52B in the southeastern Twin Cities metropolitan area, which includes the cities of Eagan and Mendota Heights and parts of Dakota County, Minnesota. Early life, education, and career Richardson graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in history and sociology and from William Mitchell College of Law with a Juris Doctor. Richardson was previously the director of programs and national strategic initiatives for the Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and was the CEO of Wayside Recovery Center. Regina Barr (born February 17, 1965) is an American politician and former member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. A member of the Republican Party of Minnesota, she represented District 52B in the southeastern Twin Cities metropolitan area. Early life, education, and career Barr was born on February 17, 1965. She was raised by a single mother of four children. Barr attended Adelphi University, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and later a Master of Business Administration in marketing. Timothy James Walz ( ; born April 6, 1964) is an American politician and retired educator. A member of the Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), he has served as the 41st governor of Minnesota since 2019. Born in West Point, Nebraska, Walz was a member of the Army National Guard, and was a temporary teacher on a reservation in South Dakota after high school.
