Rouvaun
Rouvaun (1932–1975) was born Jim Haun in Bingham, Utah. A child singer with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in Salt Lake City, he went on to study voice at the Los Angeles Conservatory of Music and perform with the Beverly Hills Opera Company. Nonetheless, he remained a struggling woodworker studying voice. Rouvaun was a virtual unknown until February 5, 1967, when he appeared in Las Vegas as the headline singer leading the 100-person Frederick Apcar French stage review Casino De Paris at the Dunes Hotel. His first record label, KALAMO, described him on his debut album cover as "The World's Greatest Singer". Nicknamed "The Vocal Vesuvius", Rouvaun continued performing on stage to sellout crowds and recorded a number of albums (see below). His career seemed to be blossoming until tragedy struck in 1975, when Rouvaun collapsed and died at age 43 due to massive internal hemorrhaging. Mario Chamlee
Mario Chamlee (May 29, 1892 – November 13, 1966) was one of the lyric tenors who inherited several roles associated with Enrico Caruso at the Metropolitan Opera. Early years His birth name was Archer Ragland Chamlee. Some references erroneous state that his birth surname was "Cholmondeley" which was the original family name before immigration to America. There is no record of his using it especially since his father and grandfather already used "Chamlee." Born in Los Angeles, California, he was the son of a physician (these same sources that gave his incorrect name also claim that his father was a minister but census records show his occupation as "physician"). Chamlee graduated of the University of Southern California where he studied science; he also played violin. Lindsey Haun (born November 21, 1984) is an American actress, singer, and director. She is known for her role as Hadley on the HBO television series ''True Blood''. She was nominated for a Young Artist Award for her role in the 2000 Disney Channel original movie ''The Color of Friendship'' as Mahree Bok, and has starred in the film ''Broken Bridges'', for which she also recorded a portion of the soundtrack. Jimmy Cary Haun is an American guitarist and composer, known for his work with the bands Yes, Air Supply, and Circa. Career Haun got his start in the music business through his childhood friend Michael Sherwood and toured with Michael's father’s (Bobby Sherwood) jazz band at 15 years old playing jazz standards and hits of the day. Too young to go into the lounges they toured, the boys were forced to sit backstage between shows and work up their own brand of music. Bingham, Utah
Bingham Canyon was a city formerly located in southwestern Salt Lake County, Utah, United States, in a narrow canyon on the eastern face of the Oquirrh Mountains. The Bingham Canyon area boomed during the first years of the twentieth century, as rich copper deposits in the canyon began to be developed, and at its peak the city had approximately 15,000 residents. The success of the local mines eventually proved to be the town's undoing, however: by the mid-twentieth century, the huge open-pit Bingham Canyon Mine began encroaching on the land of the community, causing residents to relocate. By the 1970s, almost the entirety of the town had been devoured by the mine, and the few remaining residents voted to disincorporate and abandon the community. The Alamo Christian Foundation was an American cult founded in 1969 by Christian evangelist Tony Alamo and one of his wives, Susan Alamo. Susan Alamo died in April 1982. After years of legal troubles during which he was accused of engaging in abusive behavior against his followers, Alamo was convicted of ten child rape offenses in 2009. Jack Benny (born Benjamin Kubelsky, February 14, 1894 – December 26, 1974) was an American entertainer who evolved from a modest success playing violin on the vaudeville circuit to one of the leading entertainers of the twentieth century with a highly popular comedic career in radio, television, and film.
