Roulé
Roulé () was a French record label founded in 1995 by former Daft Punk member Thomas Bangalter. Roulé had a side label entitled ''Scratché'' () which released only one record, produced by the Buffalo Bunch (Paul de Homem-Christo and Romain Séo). Roulé was liquidated in 2018. History 1995–1998: Beginnings In 1995, Bangalter released ''Trax On Da Rocks'', the first EP and release on the label. The EP includes "What To Do," which would be included in the 2018 film ''Climax''. In 1997, Alan Braxe released "Vertigo" after meeting Bangalter in a night club, which included a remix by Bangalter called the "Virgo Edit." Music Sounds Better With You
"Music Sounds Better with You" is the only record by the French house trio Stardust, released on 20 July 1998. Stardust comprised the Daft Punk member Thomas Bangalter, the DJ Alan Braxe, and the vocalist Benjamin Diamond. Stardust formed for a performance at the Rex Club in Paris. They wrote "Music Sounds Better with You" using a guitar riff sampled from the 1981 Chaka Khan song "Fate". It was initially released on Bangalter's Roulé label, followed by a wider release on Virgin Records, with a music video directed by Michel Gondry. "Music Sounds Better with You" debuted at number two on the UK singles chart in August 1998 and stayed there for two weeks, becoming one of the UK's bestselling singles that year. Thomas Bangalter
Thomas Bangalter (; born 3 January 1975) is a French musician. He is best known as one half of the former French house music duo Daft Punk, alongside Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. He has recorded and released music as a member of the trio Music Sounds Better with You, Stardust, the duo Together (French band), Together, and as a solo artist. Bangalter's work has influenced a wide range of artists in various genres. Bangalter owned the music label Roulé until its liquidation in 2018. Since Daft Punk's breakup in 2021, he has released music under his solo label, Alberts & Gothmaan, an anagram of his name. Roy Davis Jr. is an American electronic musician from Chicago, Illinois, specialising in house music. Biography Davis was born in California and grew up in Chicago, Illinois, United States, and became interested in house music at an early age by the likes of Lil' Louis, DJ Pierre, Farley Keith (Farley Jackmaster Funk) and Marshall Jefferson. Davis began his own production company named Phuture in the late 1980s and went on to become an A&R scout for record label Strictly Rhythm in NYC whilst also running his Chicago founded record label Undaground Therapy Muzik. Alan Braxe
Alain Quême (), known professionally as Alan Braxe (born 9 July 1971), is a French electronic musician. He is most widely known for his collaborative work with the musicians Fred Falke and Kris Menace, and for being part of the musical trio Stardust. In 2005, he released '' The Upper Cuts'', a collection of his previously released material. He is the cousin of French electronic musician DJ Falcon, with whom he is a member of the French touch duo Braxe + Falcon. Biography Alan Braxe started playing the clarinet and cello at an early age. Roulette (named after the French language, French word meaning "little wheel") is a casino game which was likely developed from the Italy, Italian game Biribi. In the game, a player may choose to place a bet on a single number, various groupings of numbers, the color red or black, whether the number is odd or even, or if the number is high or low.
