Ross Kemp
Ross James Kemp (born 21 July 1964) is an English actor, author, and television presenter. He rose to prominence in the role of Grant Mitchell in the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders''. His other roles include Graham Lodsworth in ''Emmerdale'' and Detective Inspector Monk in '' Birds of a Feather''. Kemp presented the BAFTA Award-winning documentary television series '' Ross Kemp on Gangs'' (2004–2009). Early life Kemp was born on 21 July 1964 in Barking, Essex. His mother Jean was a hairdresser and his father John was a detective superintendent in the Metropolitan Police. He has one brother. Kemp attended Shenfield High School and the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. 62nd British Academy Film Awards
The 62nd British Academy Film Awards, more commonly known as the BAFTAs, took place on 8 February 2009 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, honouring the best national and foreign films of 2008. John Thaw
John Edward Thaw (3 January 1942 – 21 February 2002) was an English actor in television, stage and cinema, best known for his television roles starring as Detective Inspector Jack Regan in '' The Sweeney'' (1975—78) and as Detective Chief Inspector Endeavour Morse in ''Inspector Morse'' (1987—2000). For four consecutive years Thaw was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor for playing Morse, winning in 1990 and 1993. ''The Chief'' is a British television crime drama series that aired on ITV from 20 April 1990 until 16 June 1995. A total of five series and thirty-five episodes were produced.
