Ross Donoghue
Ross Donoghue (born July 19, 1959) is a former middle-distance runner who specialized in the 1500 meters and the mile. He first rose to prominence as a standout high school runner with Bishop Cunningham High School from Oswego, New York. He was recruited by Villanova, where he would establish himself as one of the most prolific 1500-meter and mile-specialists in the school's history. Donoghue represented the United States at the 1983 Pan American Games, where he finished second overall in the men's 1500 meters. Agberto Conceição Guimarães (born August 18, 1957) is a former Brazilian middle distance runner who competed at the international level in the 1980s. He set a personal best 800 metres time of 1:43.63 min in Koblenz 1984, a performance which made him temporarily the second-fastest South American 800m runner ever. Chuck Aragon
Chuck Aragon (born March 29, 1959) is an Americans, American former middle-distance running, middle-distance runner who specialized in the 1500 meters and the mile. After a successful collegiate career during which he became the first Notre Dame runner to break the Four-minute mile, four-minute mile barrier, he went on to run at an international level throughout the 1980s. He placed third overall in the men's 1500 meters at the 1983 Pan American Games. Aragon also represented the United States at the 1987 World Championships in Athletics, where he also ran in the men's 1500 meters. A four-minute mile is the completion of a mile run (1609 m) in four minutes or less. It was first achieved in 1954 by Roger Bannister, at age 25, in 3:59.4. As of April 2021, the "four-minute barrier" has been broken by 1,663 athletes, and is now a standard of professional middle distance runners in several cultures.
