Tomáš Rosický
Tomáš Rosický (; born 4 October 1980) is a Czech former professional association football, footballer who was the Captain (association football), captain of the Czech Republic national football team, Czech Republic national team for a ten-year period. He played club football for AC Sparta Prague, Sparta Prague, Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal F.C., Arsenal. Currently, he serves as the sports director of Sparta Prague. A midfielder, he started his professional career at his hometown club Sparta Prague, playing three seasons in the Czech First League before moving to Borussia Dortmund in 2001 for Deutsche Mark, DM 25 million (approximately Pound sterling, £8 million), at the time a record transfer fee paid by a Bundesliga club. In his first season in Germany, he helped his team win the league title and reach the 2002 UEFA Cup Final. Rosický joined Arsenal F.C., Arsenal in 2006, and made 247 appearances for the club, including appearing in their victory in the 2014 FA Cup Final ...

Evžen Rošický
Evžen Rošický (15 October 1914 Olomouc – 25 June 1942 Prague) was a Czechoslovak Sportsperson, athlete and journalist. Prague's Stadion Evžena Rošického is named after him. He just missed qualifying in the heats of the Athletics at the 1936 Summer Olympics – Men's 800 metres, 800 meters in the 1936 Olympics Games. During World War II, he and his father Jaroslav Rošický were part of the anti-Nazi resistance group ''Captain Nemo''. Evžen Rošický and his father were arrested on 18 June 1942, and one week later, on 25 June 1942, they were both executed at the Kobylisy shooting range in Prague, so he died at the young age of just 27 years. Jaroslav Rošický
Jaroslav Rošický (19 September 1884, Třešť – 25 June 1942, Prague) was a Czech army officer. As a soldier he participated in World War I, fighting in the Austrian army in Russia and Italy. He was injured in 1917 and returned to Brno, later moving to Prague. There he met members of the Czech National Committee, the leading body of the Czech and Czechoslovak independence movements. Rošický and Sokol leader Josef Scheiner were in charge of their respective military operations. During World War II, Rošický was a member of the ''captain Nemo'' anti-Nazi resistance group. "Neighbour Rosicky" is a short story by Willa Cather. It appeared in the ''Woman's Home Companion'' in 1930, under the title "Neighbor Rosicky". In 1932, it was published in the collection ''Obscure Destinies''. Part One “Neighbour Rosicky” is the story of a 65-year-old Czechs, Czech farmer, Anton Rosicky, who now resides in Nebraska with his wife and six children. The story begins with Anton at Dr. Ed Burleigh's office, where he learns that he has a bad heart. The doctor informs him that he can no longer continue to work the fields, and should stick to less strenuous chores about the home and barn.
