Roly Howard
Roland J. Howard (born 10 April 1935) is a former English football manager. He has been recognised by Guinness World Records as the longest serving senior club football manager in the world for his management of Merseyside club Marine for 33 years between 1972 and 2005. Management career A former footballer, Howard had been reserve team manager for Marine and was appointed first-team manager of the Crosby based club at the start of the 1972–73 season. His first match in charge was on 12 August 1972, a 2-2 draw against Stalybridge Celtic and he was in charge for 1,975 matches, with his final match being the 2004–05 Liverpool Senior Cup final against Everton on 4 May 2005. He initially combined the roles of groundsman and manager for his first seven years managing the club. In his time with Marine he guided them to five league titles, fifteen county and league cup wins, the FA Trophy semi-finals and once into the third round of the FA Cup. Gary Ablett (English Footballer)
Gareth Ian Ablett (19 November 1965 – 1 January 2012) was an English professional footballer and manager. He played as a defender from 1985 until 2001. Ablett spent nine years with Liverpool, winning several honours, before moving to their city rivals Everton in 1992. He went on to win the FA Cup with Everton, having previously won an FA Cup in 1989 with Liverpool against Everton. He also played for Derby County, Hull City, Sheffield United, Birmingham City, Wycombe Wanderers, Blackpool and ended his playing career in the United States with the Long Island Rough Riders. He moved into coaching and managed Liverpool F.C. Reserves, and then spent a year as manager of Stockport County. Ablett died on 1 January 2012, following a 16-month battle with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, at his home in Tarleton, Lancashire. He was 46 years old. Kenny Dalglish
Sir Kenneth Mathieson Dalglish (born 4 March 1951) is a Scottish former football player and manager. During his career, he made 338 appearances for Celtic and 515 for Liverpool, playing as a forward, and earned a record 102 full caps for the Scotland national team, scoring 30 goals, also a joint-record. Dalglish won the Ballon d'Or Silver Award in 1983, the PFA Players' Player of the Year in 1983, and the FWA Footballer of the Year in 1979 and 1983. The Northern Premier League is an English football league that was founded in 1968. It has four divisions: the Premier Division (which stands at level 7 of the English football league system), Division One East, Division One West and Division One Midlands (which stand at level 8). Cheshire County League
The Cheshire County League was a football league founded in the north west of England in 1919, drawing its teams largely from Cheshire, surrounding English counties and North Wales. Initially the league was dominated by the reserve teams of Football League clubs, but as the Central League became established for these teams, the non-league clubs won every title after 1938. The outbreak of World War II in 1939 led to the league being split into Eastern and Western sections, with the winners of each playing for the overall championship in 1939–40, with the league then closing down for the duration of the combat until restarting in 1945. In 1968 the league lost several clubs to the newly formed Northern Premier League. Despite this the league expanded in 1978 by adding a Division Two, but in 1982 the league ceased to exist after it merged with the Lancashire Combination to form the North West Counties Football League.
