Rock Action Records
Rock Action Records is a Scottish, Glasgow-based independent record label, founded and maintained by Scottish post-rock band Mogwai. The label has showcased such diverse talents as Part Chimp, Errors, Chris Brokaw, Trout, The James Orr Complex and Kling Klang, has licensed music for UK release from Torche, Envy, Afrirampo and Growing, and in the past represented Papa M and The Zephyrs. As of 2010, Mogwai have released their own records on the label in the UK and Europe. Glasgow

Desalvo (band)
Desalvo is a metalcore band from Glasgow, Scotland, formed in 1998. History Desalvo were formed by Alex Grant, former PH Family and Idlewild bassist, former Stretchheads drummer Richie Dempsey, and Allan Stewart who then went on to also join Idlewild. Their original vocalist Fraser Lumsden, also of PH Family, left the band in 1999 and was replaced by former Stretchheads vocalist 'p6'. Desalvo split in 2011. In 2022 the band announced gig dates, their first in 11 years. More writing and future shows are being planned. Musical style Desalvo was originally strongly influenced by US post-hardcore bands such as Helmet, but have later developed a more metallic and progressive sound akin to Converge. Hey Colossus is an English rock band formed in London in 2003. Since its inception, the band has undergone several lineup changes, revolving around founding members Joe Thompson and Robert Davis. Cex (musician)
Cex is an American musical project run by Rjyan Claybrook Kidwell and started in 1998 at the age of 16. Although Cex and Kidwell are frequently used interchangeably, Cex occasionally expands to several people at sporadic points, such as particular tours or albums. In the past it has included Kidwell's musical associates, friends, touring partners, or high school bandmates. History The first Cex album, ''Cells'', was a compilation of tracks Kidwell had been working on for several years, and was released in 1998 by his own CD-R label, _underscore, while he was still at Dulaney High School in Timonium, Maryland. Arab Strap
Arab Strap are a Scottish indie rock band whose core members are Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton. The band were signed to independent record label Chemikal Underground, split in 2006 and reformed in 2016. The band signed to Rock Action Records in 2020. History Vocalist and drummer Aidan Moffat and multi-instrumentalist Malcolm Middleton grew up in Falkirk, Scotland, and bonded over their mutual love for Drag City recording artists such as Will Oldham (who at the time recorded under the name Palace Brothers) and Smog. The Twilight Sad
The Twilight Sad are a Scottish post-punk/indie rock band, comprising James Graham (vocals), Andy MacFarlane (guitar), Johnny Docherty (bass), Brendan Smith (keyboards) and Grant Hutchison (drums). They have released five studio albums, as well as several EPs, live recordings and singles. Swervedriver
Swervedriver are an English alternative rock band formed in Oxford in 1989 around core members Adam Franklin and Jimmy Hartridge. Between 1989 and 1998, the band released four studio albums and numerous EPs and singles despite a considerable flux of members, managers, and record labels. By 1993 the band's lineup had settled with Franklin on vocals/guitar, Hartridge on guitar, Jez Hindmarsh on drums, and Steve George on bass. They had emerged with a heavier rock sound than their shoegaze contemporaries, and over the next five years it evolved to include elements of psychedelia, classic pop, and indie rock. Record label issues and waning interest within the group led to their split at the end of 1998. Sacred Paws
Sacred Paws is a Scottish rock band, comprising Ray Aggs (guitar, bass, vocals) and Eilidh Rodgers (drums, vocals), who met as members of the band Golden Grrrls. Their debut album ''Strike a Match'' won the 2017 Scottish Album of the Year Award. History Sacred Paws were born from the ashes of Ray Aggs' (vocals, guitar) and Eilidh Rodgers' (vocals, drums) previous indie pop group Golden Grrrls. Despite Aggs living in London and Rodgers in Glasgow they set about recording their debut EP after signing to the Mogwai-owned label Rock Action. Remember Remember
Remember Remember were a Scottish instrumental band originating from Glasgow. Active between 2006 and 2015, they released three albums and other work on the Rock Action label, run by fellow Glasgow band Mogwai, with whom the band have also toured. History Remember Remember were originally the work of a single musician, Graeme Ronald, playing multiple instruments, including unusual percussion such as scissors, cutlery, coffee spoons, lighters and matches. The 2008 self-titled album was performed by Ronald with a few collaborators, including James Swinburne, who would later be part of the band, and James Hamilton from Errors. Mugstar are an English rock band, influenced by kraut/psych/space/noise rock such as Oneida, Sonic Youth, Neu! and Hawkwind. Since 2003 they have issued several full-length albums, a split release with Mudhoney and two live albums performing on stage together with Damo Suzuki. Mugstar recorded one of the last-ever Peel Sessions with the late John Peel on 5 May 2004. RM Hubbert
RM Hubbert (Robert McArthur Hubbert, born 12 May 1974 in Glasgow, Scotland), commonly known as Hubby, is a Scottish guitarist and singer. Best known for his solo work as RM Hubbert and as a member of Scottish post rock band El Hombre Trajeado, he has been an active member of the Glaswegian DIY music scene since 1991. Musical career Hubbert's first band was formed in 1991 under the name Me, Hubby & Thom. The band's drummer, Thom Falls, also played drums for Glasgow band The Blisters, notable as the first band of future Franz Ferdinand guitarist and singer Alex Kapranos.
