''RoboCop'' is a 1994 cyberpunk television series based on the ''RoboCop'' franchise. It stars Richard Eden as the title character. Made to appeal primarily to children and young teenagers, it lacks the graphic violence of the original film ''RoboCop'' and its sequel ''RoboCop 2'' and is more in line with the tone of ''RoboCop 3''. The television series ignores the events of the sequels and many character names are changed from the movie series. RoboCop Statue
The RoboCop statue is a bronze statue of RoboCop, a fictional cybernetically enhanced Detroit Police Department officer from the 1987 film ''RoboCop''. The idea for the statue originated with a 2011 exchange between Detroit mayor Dave Bing and a pseudonymous user on Twitter. In response to the suggestion that Detroit have a statue of RoboCop to rival Philadelphia's statue of Rocky, Bing replied that there were no plans to erect such a statue in the city. The exchange went viral and a subsequent Kickstarter campaign raised $67,436 to fund the construction of the statue. The completion and public display of the RoboCop statue have been delayed due to several setbacks, including difficulties in securing a site, legal issues with MGM, and artist Giorgio Gikas battling cancer. Ulf Bo Samuelsson (born March 26, 1964) is a Swedish-American former professional ice hockey defenceman who formerly served as assistant coach of the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League. He played several seasons in the NHL with the Hartford Whalers, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings, and Philadelphia Flyers. He was a two-time Stanley Cup champion as a member of the Penguins in 1991 and 1992 and is the first European-born player to have 2,000 career penalty minutes. Gobotron is the solo side project of Manchester Orchestra's lead guitarist and backing vocalist, Charles Robert "Robot" McDowell. His debut album '' On Your Mark, Get Set...'' was released on January 19, 2010, through Manchester Orchestra's own label Favorite Gentlemen Recordings. Ray Mallon (born 1955) is a British politician who served as the independent Mayor of Middlesbrough from 2002 to 2015. Prior to his political career he served in the police until he resigned after pleading guilty to charges of misconduct. Early life Mallon was born to an undertaker and was raised as a Catholic. "RoboCop" is a song by American record producer and vocalist Kanye West from his fourth studio album, '' 808s & Heartbreak'' (2008). The song contains background vocals from Tony Williams and Jeff Bhasker. It was solely produced by West, who served as a songwriter alongside Esthero, Malik Yusef, Consequence, Kid Cudi, Williams, Bhasker, T-Pain, and Young Jeezy. Due to the embodiment of Patrick Doyle's work, a songwriting credit for him was added. The song was recorded in 2008 across numerous studios, being tweaked to perfection. ''RoboCop'' is a 1988 superhero animated series based on the 1987 movie ''RoboCop''. The cartoon aired as part of the ''Marvel Action Universe'' programming block. The series was animated by AKOM Productions. The show made a number of changes to the ''RoboCop'' universe to make it more appropriate for younger viewers, including replacing bullets with laser weapons and shifting the series to a more science fiction setting. In this series, RoboCop had a red light in the middle of his visor (which occasionally panned the whole visor). Officer Alex James Murphy ( designation number: OCP Crime Prevention Unit 001), commonly known as RoboCop, is a fictional cybernetically-enhanced Detroit Police Department officer from Murfreesboro, Tennessee and is the main protagonist in the film series of the same name.
