Rob Witwer
Rob Witwer (born February 2, 1971) is a Colorado politician, lawyer, and former Republican member of the Colorado House of Representatives. In the State House, Witwer represented House District 25, which encompasses most of western Jefferson County, Colorado including Evergreen, Colorado and Conifer, Colorado. Witwer was appointed to the Colorado General Assembly in 2005 by vacancy committee and won the general election in 2006 by defeating Democrat Mike Daniels with 56.6% of the popular vote. Witwer sponsored legislation to improve public access to hiking trails by extending legal liability protection to landowners who allow public access to their land. Along with State Senator Josh Penry, he has pushed for legislation to raise graduation standards for Colorado high school students, especially in the areas of math and science. Cheri Gerou
Cheri Rodgers Gerou (born February 3, 1956, in Casper, Wyoming) is an American architect and former politician, who served as a Republican in the General Assembly of the U.S. state of Colorado. First elected to the Colorado House of Representatives as a Republican in 2008, Gerou represented House District 25, which encompasses western Jefferson County, Colorado. She currently serves as the Director of Capital Assets at the University of Colorado. Biography Born and raised in Wyoming, Gerou moved to Colorado in 1975. Conifer is an unincorporated community in Jefferson County, Colorado, United States. Conifer is located along U.S. Route 285 in the foothills west of Denver. History A post office called Conifer was established in 1894. Josh Penry (born February 1, 1976) is the former minority leader of the Colorado Senate. Elected in 2006, Penry was the youngest member of the Colorado state Senate. According to ''The Denver Post'', Penry played a leadership role in opposing regulation for the oil and gas industry and a labor bill. Penry was identified by several newspapers as a "rising star" in Colorado politics during the 2000s.
