Ritabrata Banerjee
Ritabrata Banerjee (born 15 November 1978) is an Indian politician. He is currently serving as the State President of All India Trinamool Trade Union Congress West Bengal . He was elected a Rajya Sabha member from West Bengal in February 2014. Early life Ritabrata Banerjee has attended school at South Point High School, Kolkata, and obtained BA degree from Asutosh College and MA degrees in English at Calcutta University. He is a full-time political activist and a former General Secretary of the Student Union in his college. Political controversy He has been alleged along with other young comrades for harassment of Finance minister of West Bengal Mr. Amit Mitra in New Delhi. Brinda Karat (born 17 October 1947) is an Indian politician, elected to the Rajya Sabha as a Communist Party of India (Marxist) member on 11 April 2005 for West Bengal. In 2005, she became the first woman member of the CPI(M) Politburo. She has also been the general secretary of the All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA) from 1993 to 2004, and thereafter its vice-president. Prakash Karat (born 7 February 1948) is an Indian Communist politician. He was the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) from 2005 to 2015. Education and early career Prakash Karat was born in Letpadan, Burma on 7 February 1948. His father worked as a clerk in the Burma Railways, where he had sought employment during the British Raj.
