Rikki Morris
Richard Ernest Morris (born 12 August 1960) is a British-born New Zealand musician, singer–songwriter and sound engineer better known by his stage name, Rikki Morris. He is perhaps best known for his 1988 hit single "Nobody Else" which he wrote and performed with his older brother Ian Morris/Tex Pistol and which reached number one in New Zealand and remained on the charts for sixteen weeks. Early life Morris was born in Barnet, London, England, the younger brother of Ian Morris (born 1957) but emigrated with his family to New Zealand in July 1966. Settling in the Auckland suburb of Glendowie, Morris attended Sacred Heart College with his brother Ian. It was while at Sacred Heart that Ian would meet Dave Dobbyn and Peter Urlich, all three going on to form the band Th' Dudes Rikki would become the band's roadie when they turned professional. "The Game of Love" is a 1964 song by Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders, first released as a single from the band's titular album in January 1965 in the United Kingdom, followed by the United States one month later as "Game of Love". When the Cat's Away is a New Zealand female vocal group and covers band formed in 1985. They are best known for their cover of the Blue Mink assimilationist song "Melting Pot", which became a New Zealand number one hit for them in 1988. In 2021, the band members were inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame. Background At the 1985 New Zealand Music Awards, Annie Crummer, Debbie Harwood, Kim Willoughby, Dianne Swann, and Margaret Urlich formed a female vocal group. Judith Mary Dobson (née Kirk; born ) is a New Zealand TV presenter, producer and author. Anthony Edward Charles Rayner (born 19 November 1952) is a New Zealand musician who spent ten years as a keyboardist in the band Split Enz. He has also played in the groups Orb, Space Waltz, Crowded House, the Makers, The Angels in 1986-1987 and 801. Biography Rayner was born in Lower Hutt, New Zealand, in 1952. Rayner has released two solo albums. The first, ''Horse'', was an instrumental offering released in 1995, recorded entirely at Rayner's home studio in Melbourne, Australia.
