Rikidōzan (film)
''Rikidōzan'' () is a 2004 South Korean-Japanese film written and directed by Song Hae-sung. The film is based on the life of Rikidōzan, a legendary ethnic Korean professional wrestler who became a national hero in Japan in the 1950s. It stars Sul Kyung-gu in the title role, with Miki Nakatani, Tatsuya Fuji, and actual Japanese wrestlers Keiji Mutoh and Masakatsu Funaki in the cast. Song Hae-sung
Song Hae-sung (; born October 11, 1964) is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. Career Song made his feature film debut in 1999 with the time-traveling romance ''Calla'', starring Song Seung-heon and Kim Hee-sun, but didn't become more widely known until the success of his second film, '' Failan'' (2001). (born October 9, 1969) is a Japanese professional wrestler signed to DDT Pro-Wrestling, where he is a former KO-D Openweight Champion. He is best known for his time working for All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW), where he was the president, representative director, co-head booker, and an in-ring performer. Nishonoseki Stable
is a Japanese sumo elder from Ibaraki. As a wrestler, he made his professional debut in 2002 and reached the top ''makuuchi'' division in 2004 at the age of just 18. After many years in the junior ''san'yaku'' ranks, he reached the second highest rank of '' ōzeki'' in January 2012. (born May 10, 1977) is a former Japanese professional wrestler, best known for his appearances in Pro Wrestling Noah. Career Hashi's first championship reign in Noah came after he defeated Naomichi Marufuji for the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship via stoppage; however, unsatisfied with his victory, Hashi vacated the title the following day, leading to a tournament which was later won by Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Azumafuji Kin'ichi
was a Japanese professional sumo wrestler from Taitō, Tokyo. He was the sport's 40th ''yokozuna'', and later a professional wrestler. Sumo career Azumafuji's real name was . He made professional debut in January 1936, joining Takasago stable. He was promoted to the top ''makuuchi'' division in May 1943. On the sixth day of the November 1944 tournament, he defeated ''yokozuna'' Futabayama, the last wrestler ever to do so as Futabayama pulled out of the tournament the next day and only fought one more bout before his retirement.
