Ria Hall (extended Play)
Ria Hall (born 1982 or 1983) is a Māori recording artist, singer-songwriter, television presenter, and political candidate. She has released two solo albums, '' Rules of Engagement'' (2017), which topped the Official New Zealand Music Chart shortly after its release, and ''Manawa Wera'' (2020). Her work reflects Māori society and history, and Hall regularly sings in Māori as well as English. Born in Tauranga with an extensive background in kapa haka, she moved to Wellington in her early twenties to attend university and launch her music career. She initially fronted the reggae band Hope Road. After sporadically performing with other contemporary Māori musical acts, such as TrinityRoots, Hall rose to prominence after performing the New Zealand national anthem for the opening ceremony of the 2011 Rugby World Cup. Maungatapu, Tauranga
Maungatapu is a suburb and peninsula of Tauranga in the Bay of Plenty region of New Zealand's North Island. It is north-east of Hairini and south-east of Matapihi. The Maungatapu Peninsula and Matapihi Peninsula are connected by the Maungatapu Bridge. State Highway 29A runs through both suburbs. The 2012 New Zealand Music Awards was the 47th holding of the annual ceremony featuring awards for musical recording artists based in or originating from New Zealand. Finalists for the three technical awards were announced on 3 October 2012, the date on which finalists for 16 'non-technical' categories were also revealed. The mayor of Tauranga is the head of local government in Tauranga, New Zealand's fifth-largest city. The mayor presides over the Tauranga City Council. Troy Kingi (born 1984) is a New Zealand musician and actor from Northland, first receiving media attention when he appeared in the 2013 film '' Mt. Zion''. Kingi is a multi-instrumentalist, is known for his 10/10/10 project: the plan to release 10 albums in 10 genres across 10 years. Whakaata Māori is a New Zealand television channel that broadcasts programmes that make a significant contribution to the revitalisation of the Māori language and culture. The APRA Music Awards are several annual and two-yearly award ceremonies run in New Zealand by Australasian Performing Right Association to recognise songwriting skills of its members. Rob Ruha
Rob Ruha (born 1980), is a New Zealand musician from Wharekahika, Gisborne District. He debuted as a solo musician in 2013, and is known for his singles sung in te Reo Māori, including "Kalega" (2017), "Ka Mānu" (2019), " 35" with Ka Hao (2021), and " Taera" (2021). Ruha worked as the music director for the Māori language version of the Walt Disney Pictures films '' Moana'' and ''The Lion King''. Biography Ruha grew up in Wharekahika, Gisborne District. Che Kuo Eruera Ness (born 1974), better known by his stage name Che Fu, is a New Zealand singer, songwriter and producer. A founding member of the band Supergroove, as a solo artist he has gone on to sell thousands of albums both in New Zealand and internationally.
