Emine Mevhibe İnönü (September 22, 1897 – February 29, 1992) was the First Lady of Turkey from November 11, 1938, until May 27, 1950, during the presidency of her husband İsmet İnönü. Early years She was born on September 22, 1897, at Süleymaniye neighborhood of Fatih district in Istanbul. Her father died of tuberculosis as she was three years old. Shortly later, her sibling also died. Following the losses in the family, Mevhibe's mother moved with her to the grandfather's house, where she was raised then on. Melahat Gürsel
Melahat Gürsel (1899 – 23 February 1974) was the First Lady of Turkey from 27 May 1960 until 28 March 1966 during the presidency of her husband Cemal Gürsel. Melahat was born in 1899. Her father was the chief engineer on the Ottoman cruiser ''Hamidiye''. In 1927, she married army officer Cemal Bey, who was introduced to her by the older brother. From this marriage, a son Özdemir was born and the couple also adopted two daughters, Hatice and Türkan. On 27 May 1960, some mid-ranked Turkish Army officers staged a military coup, and overthrew the government. Four-star general Cemal Gürsel, then Commander of the Turkish Army, was appointed head of the state by the revolutionaries without a leader. Nilüfer Gürsoy
Nilüfer Gürsoy (; 1 June 1921 – 1 July 2024) was a Turkish philologist, politician and memoirist. She served in the parliament between 1965 and 1969, and from 1973 to 1980. She was the daughter of the third president of Turkey, Celâl Bayar. Education and academic life Nilüfer Bayar received her primary education privately at home.
