''Revolution Radio'' is the twelfth studio album by American rock band Green Day, released on October 7, 2016 through Reprise Records. A self-produced effort, it marked their first release since touring guitarist Jason White returned to his original role as a touring member. White subsequently did not participate in the recording sessions. It is their first album since 2009’s ''21st Century Breakdown'' not to be produced by longtime producer Rob Cavallo. It is also their first album since 2000's '' Warning'' to not carry a parental advisory label, although the track "Youngblood" features profanity. Three singles were released from the album; "Bang Bang", " Still Breathing", and " Revolution Radio". Green Day
Green Day is an American rock band formed in the East Bay of California in 1987 by lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, together with bassist and backing vocalist Mike Dirnt. For most of the band's career, they have been a power trio with drummer Tré Cool, who replaced John Kiffmeyer in 1990 before the recording of the band's second studio album, '' Kerplunk'' (1991). Touring guitarist Jason White became a full-time member in 2012, but returned to his touring role in 2016. A lead single (also known as a debut single) is the first single to be released from a studio album by an artist or a band, usually before the album itself is released and also occasionally on the same day of the album's release date. There is a lack of consensus on how to define a mass shooting. Billie Joe Armstrong
Billie Joe Armstrong (born February 17, 1972) is an American musician who is the lead vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter of the rock band Green Day, which he co-founded with Mike Dirnt in 1987. He is also a guitarist and vocalist for the punk rock band Pinhead Gunpowder, and provides lead vocals for Green Day's side projects Foxboro Hot Tubs, The Network, The Longshot and The Coverups. Armstrong has been considered by critics as one of the greatest punk rock guitarists of all time. Armstrong developed an interest in music at a young age, and recorded his first song at the age of five. He met Dirnt while attending elementary school, and the two instantly bonded over their mutual interest in music, forming the band Sweet Children when the two were 14 years old. ''¡Tré!'' trilogy, a series of studio albums that were released from September to December 2012. Green Day started recording material for the album on February 14, 2012, and finished on June 26, 2012. ''¡Tré!'' follows the power pop style of '' ¡Uno!'', and the garage rock feel of '' ¡Dos!'' 99 Revolutions Tour was a concert tour by American punk rock band Green Day in support of the band's trilogy, ''¡Uno!'', ''¡Dos!'' and ''¡Tré!'', that took place in 2013. The tour was named after the song "99 Revolutions" from ''¡Tré!''. Before the announcement of the trilogy, the band had been playing "secret shows", revealing previously unheard songs.
