RevPro Uprising 2024
The 2024 Uprising was the twelfth Uprising professional wrestling supershow promoted by the British wrestling promotion Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro). The event will also featured wrestlers from Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) and All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The event took place on 21 December 2024, at the York Hall in London, England. Seven matches were contested at the event. In the main event, Michael Oku defeated Luke Jacobs to become the new Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion. In other prominent matches, Jay Joshua and Connor Mills defeated Sunshine Machine ( Chuck Mambo and TK Cooper) to become the new Undisputed British Tag Team Champions, Zozaya defeated Leon Slater 3–2 in sudden death overtime in the first ever RevPro 60-minute Iron man match, and Mina Shirakawa defeated Dani Luna to retain the Undisputed British Women's Championship. Undisputed British Women's Championship
The Undisputed British Women's Championship is a women's professional wrestling championship owned by the Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro/RPW) promotion. The title was created and debuted on 7 January 2018 as British Women's Championship. There have been a total of 10 reigns shared between eight different champions. Mercedes Moné is the current champion in her first reign. She won the title by defeating Mina Shirakawa in a Winner Takes All match where Moné's NJPW Strong Women's Championship was also on the line at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5, 2025 in Tokyo, Japan. Pinfall
In professional wrestling, a pin is a move where a wrestler holds an opponent's shoulders to the mat in an attempt to score a fall. A pinfall is a common victory condition, where the attacker pins an opponent and the referee makes a three count before the opponent gets released from the pin. Background The origin of the pinfall is the pin from amateur wrestling, whereby pinning an opponent to the mat will result in an automatic victory despite any points scored. However, while an amateur wrestling pin need be only one or two seconds, the count in professional wrestling is based on the referee's arm gestures, regardless of how much actual time elapses, and is to three slaps of the mat. The is a women's professional wrestling world championship owned by the New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) promotion. The creation of the championship was announced by NJPW on April 27, 2023. The title is exclusively featured on NJPW's Strong brand and is usually defended at NJPW Strong branded shows in America. The inaugural champion was Willow Nightingale. Wrestle Dynasty was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event co-produced by the Japanese promotions New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and World Wonder Ring Stardom, the American promotions All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Ring of Honor (ROH), and the Mexican promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
