Renuka (actress)
Renuka is an Indian actress who is known for playing the lead role ''Premi'' in K. Balachander's Tamil tele-serial of the same name. She has also acted in Malayalam and some Hindi films. Early life Renuka's family hailed from the town of Srirangam. Due to adverse circumstances caused by the early death of her father, she was compelled to move to the city of Chennai at an early age in search of work. In a short while, she was able to get a job as a drama artiste with Komal Swaminathan's troupe. Career She got the break in Tamil films with the 1989 movie '' Samsara Sangeetham'' directed by T. Srirangam
Srirangam is a neighbourhood in the city of Tiruchirappalli in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. A river island, Srirangam is bounded by the Kaveri River on one side and its distributary Kollidam on the other side. Considered as the first among the 108 Divya Desams, a group of Vishnu temples, it is famous for the Ranganathaswamy Temple, the largest temple complex in India and the biggest functioning Hindu temple in the world.
