Remembering Now
''Remembering Now'' is the 47th studio album by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison, released on 13 June 2025, by Exile Productions and Virgin Records. It is Van Morrison's return to original songwriting following cover albums and reworkings of his songs. The first single, "Down to Joy", was released on 27 February 2025, having originally appeared in the soundtrack to the 2021 Kenneth Branagh film ''Belfast'' and subsequently been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song. Other contributors to the album include Fiachra Trench, Don Black and Seth Lakeman. The album's second single, "Cutting Corners", was released on 1 May 2025. Sir George Ivan "Van" Morrison (born 31 August 1945) is a Northern Irish singer-songwriter and musician whose recording career started in the 1960s. Morrison's albums have performed well in the UK and Ireland, with more than 40 reaching the UK top 40, as well as internationally, including in Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland. He has scored top ten albums in the UK in four consecutive decades, following the success of 2021's ''Latest Record Project, Volume 1''. The Philips/Magnavox VideoWriter (styled VideoWRITER) is a standalone, fixed-application, electronic typewriter / dedicated word processor produced by Philips Home Interactive Systems (PHIS), a division of the Dutch electronics company Philips. The Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) is a non-profit association set up in 1999 to promote certain interests of the music industry in Ireland. It is particularly active in addressing copyright issues, and it compiles the official music charts for Ireland. Membership Only Irish companies can become members of the IRMA.
