Norman Mark Reedus (born January 6, 1970) is an American actor. He made his acting debut in the 1990s, starring in the role of Murphy MacManus in ', followed by supporting roles in successful box office films ''8MM,'' ''Blade II'', and ''American Gangster''. Reedus rose to prominence for his portrayal of Daryl Dixon in the hit AMC horror drama series '' The Walking Dead'' (2010–2022). Regarded as one of the show's most popular characters, he has starred in his own spin-off series, '' The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon'', since 2023. Reedus is the host of the AMC show '' Ride with Norman Reedus'' (2016–present). He has also starred as protagonist Sam Porter Bridges in the video games ''Death Stranding'' and '' Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.'' Ride With Norman Reedus
''Ride with Norman Reedus'' is an American docu-travel television series that premiered on AMC on June 12, 2016. The series follows actor and motorcycle enthusiast Norman Reedus where he and a guest of the week travel across a different destination on a motorcycle while exploring the city's biker culture and checking out various locales. AMC ordered the series on October 29, 2015, with a premiere date set for June 2016. The idea came from AMC president of original programming Joel Stillerman, who called Reedus about doing a show about his love for motorcycles to which Reedus replied "Yes, yes, yes right away" before Stillerman could change his mind. Reedus picks the ride companion for each episode due to their history and location, like Peter Fonda who is known for appearing in the film '' Easy Rider''. Daryl Dixon is a fictional character from AMC's horror drama series '' The Walking Dead'', and the protagonist of its last three seasons, replacing Rick Grimes. The character was created for the television series by writers Frank Darabont, Charles H. Eglee and Jack LoGiudice specifically for Norman Reedus, and does not have a counterpart in the comics on which the series is based. The character was introduced in the first season as a southerner, expert tracker, living in the shadow of his older brother, Merle. ''Death Stranding'' is a 2019 action-adventure game developed by Kojima Productions and originally published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is the first game from director Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions after their split from Konami in 2015. It was first released for PlayStation 4 in November 2019, followed by a Windows port in July 2020. A director's cut was released for PlayStation 5 in September 2021, followed by releases for Windows in March 2022, iOS, iPadOS and macOS in January 2024, and Amazon Luna and Xbox Series X/S in November 2024.
