Ray Moujalli
Ray Moujalli (born 20 December 1984) is a former Lebanon international rugby league footballer who most recently played for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs as a in the NSW Cup competition. Background He was born in Sydney, Australia. Playing career Moujalli made his NRL debut in round 15 2009 for the Sydney Roosters, against the North Queensland Cowboys. Between 2009 and 2015 Moujalli played over 100 games for Newtown. Moujalli signed with Canterbury after six seasons with Newtown for the start of the 2017 Intrust Super Premiership season. At the beginning of the season he was announced as captain for the year. . Moujalli represented Lebanon at The 2017 rugby league world cup. Following the tournament, Moujalli retired as a professional rugby league footballer and now works as Canterbury's strength and conditioning coach. Newtown Jets
The Newtown Jets are an Australian rugby league football club based in Newtown, a suburb of Sydney's inner west. They currently compete in the NSW Cup competition, having left the top grade after the 1983 NSWRFL season. The Jets' home ground is Henson Park, and their team colours are blue (traditionally royal blue) and white. Established in 1908, Newtown were one of the founding members of the New South Wales Rugby Football League. They competed continuously in the NSWRFL premiership until their departure in 1983, the first reduction in the League since 1937. Over this period they won the competition three times. The Sydney Roosters are an Australian professional Rugby league, Rugby League Football Club based in the Eastern Suburbs (Sydney) and parts of inner Sydney. The club competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. The Roosters have won fifteen New South Wales Rugby League premiership, New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and National Rugby League titles, and several other competitions. 2017 Intrust Super Premiership Season
The 2017 New South Wales Cup season was the tenth season of the New South Wales Cup administered by the New South Wales Rugby League, and the second known as the Intrust Super Premiership NSW due sponsorship reasons. The competition acts as a second-tier league to the ten New South Wales-based National Rugby League clubs, as well the Canberra Raiders and New Zealand Warriors. The winner of the Premiership will compete against the winner of the 2017 Queensland Cup in the 2017 NRL State Championship. Illawarra RLFC are the defending champions, following their 21–20 victory against the Mounties in the 2016 grand final. The North Queensland Cowboys is an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Townsville, the largest town in North Queensland. They compete in Australia's premier rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL). Since their foundation in 1995, the club has appeared in three grand finals (2005, 2015 and 2017) winning in 2015, and has reached the finals ten times.
