Ray Donovan
''Ray Donovan'' is an American crime drama television series created by Ann Biderman for Showtime. The drama, starring Liev Schreiber in the title role, is set primarily in Los Angeles (during seasons 1–5) and in New York City (during seasons 6–7). The main character, Ray Donovan, is a professional " fixer" who arranges bribes, payoffs, threats, crime-scene clean-up, and other illegal activities to protect his (usually) celebrity clients. Good at his job, he is also normally devoted to his children and brothers but has a complicated relationship with his wife. He encounters problems when his menacing father, Mickey Donovan ( Jon Voight), is unexpectedly released from prison. The FBI attempts to bring down Mickey and his associates, and Donovan struggles to escape the undertow. The series' twelve-episode first season premiered on June 30, 2013. Mark Richard Gordon (born October 10, 1956) is an American producer. He is a former president of the Producers Guild of America. In January 2018, Gordon was named president and chief content officer of film and television for Entertainment One, which had acquired his production company, The Mark Gordon Company. Early life and education Gordon was born on October 10, 1956 in Newport News, Virginia. He is of Jewish descent. He is a graduate of New York University Film School. A fixer is someone who is assigned or contracted to solve problems for others. The term has different meanings in different contexts. In British usage (and in other Commonwealth countries) the term is neutral, referring to a person, such as a special adviser, "who...gets things done". Use in American English implies that the methods used are of questionable morality and legality. In organized crime, cleaners remove incriminating physical evidence, including the disposal of bodies or witnesses. "The Movie" is the fourteenth episode of the fourth season of the American television sitcom ''Seinfeld'' (and the 54th episode overall). It first aired on NBC in the United States on January 6, 1993. The episode revolves entirely around the characters' struggles to go to see a movie together.
