Raw Tag Team Championship
The World Tag Team Championship is a men's professional wrestling world tag team championship created and promoted by the American promotion WWE, defended on the Raw brand division. It is one of two male tag team championships for WWE's main roster, along with the WWE Tag Team Championship on SmackDown. The current champions are The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods), who are in their record fifth reign as a team. Individually, it is the fifth reign for Woods and the record seventh for Kingston. They won the title by defeating The War Raiders (Erik and Ivar) on night one of WrestleMania 41 on April 19, 2025. Championship unification is the act of combining two or more separate professional wrestling championships into a single title. Tag team wrestling is a type of professional wrestling in which matches are contested between teams of multiple wrestlers. Tag teams may be made up of wrestlers who normally wrestle in singles competition, but more commonly are made of established teams who wrestle regularly as a unit and have a team name and identity. Todd James Smith (born March 3, 1984) is an American professional wrestler and trainer. As of January 2018, he is signed to WWE, where he performs on the Raw brand under the ring name Ivar. The War Raiders are an American professional wrestling tag team consisting of Erik and Ivar. They are signed to WWE on the Raw brand, where they are former two-time World Tag Team Champions. The brand extension, also referred to as the brand split, is the separation of the American professional wrestling promotion WWE's roster of wrestlers (and, at various times, creative staff) into distinct divisions, or "brands". The promotion's wrestlers are assigned to a brand via the annual WWE Draft and exclusively perform on that brand's weekly television show, with some exceptions.
