Raw Nerve Short Film Initiative
{{Use dmy dates, date=January 2022 The Raw Nerve Short Film Initiative is a joint venture between Screen Development Australia (SDA) and Screen Australia (formerly the Australian Film Commission (AFC)) that awards Australian filmmakers sponsorship to encourage film production. The program funds the creation of short films on a low budget by emerging filmmakers and then tours the films throughout Australia at the end of a years work. It was created to address the sponsoring organisations' objective of showcasing new talent via organizations in each state. The scheme is run in New South Wales through Metro Screen, in Victoria through Open Channel, in Queensland through QPIX, in South Australia Media Resource Centre, in Western Australia through Film and Television Institute, in Tasmania through Wide Angle Tasmania. Media Resource Centre
Mercury CX, formerly Media Resource Centre (MRC), is a not-for-profit film and television training organisation based in the Lion Arts Centre on the corner of Morphett Street and North Terrace, Adelaide, South Australia, which aims to give screening opportunities to emerging South Australian film, video and digital media artists. It also manages the not-for-profit Mercury Cinema, which shows films by subscription to the Adelaide Cinémathèque film society, screening classic or notable films and hosts film festivals and other events. FTI WA Inc., formerly the Film and Television Institute and also known as the Perth Institute of Film and Television, was a screen resource centre located in Western Australia aimed at increasing the vibrancy of the screen sector, including film, Television, games and interactive media.
