Rauch Fruchtsäfte GmbH & Co OG is a beverage company based in Rankweil in Vorarlberg, Austria. It was founded in 1919 and has remained a family business for four generations. The Rauch brand is particularly known for producing a range of juices. The company exports products to about 100 countries and also offers private-label production services such as ''Bravo'' sold throughout the former Yugoslavia, and Albania. History The family business was founded by Franz Josef Rauch in 1919 as a cider press for the surrounding farmers. In the interwar period, however, the fruit juice production was already carried out industrially. In 1962 the company was taken over by the next generation and got internationally oriented. In the 1970s, Rauch became the market leader in the Austrian market with the brands Happy Day and Bravo and sold Tetra Pak instead of glass bottles. Bill Rauch (born 1962) is an American theatre director. He was named the inaugural artistic director of the Ronald O. Perelman Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center in 2018. Gustav Adolf von Rauch (25 August 1805 - 26 June 1877) retired in 1854 as a cavalry officer with the rank of major in the Prussian Gardes du Corps regiment, to act as chamberlain and court-marshal to Princess Louise of Prussia, wife of Alexis, Landgrave of Hesse-Philippsthal-Barchfeld, who have been divorced since 1861, in the following decades at Berlin´s Monbijou Palace. Rauch was a distinguished collector of ancient Greek and Roman coins and from 1870 to 1877 chairman of the Numismatic Society in Berlin. Erik Rauch (May 15, 1974 – July 13, 2005) was an American biophysicist and theoretical ecologist who worked at NECSI, MIT, Santa Fe Institute, Yale University, Princeton University, and other institutions. Rauch's most notable paper was published in ''Nature'' and concerned the mathematical modeling of the conservation of biodiversity. Christian Daniel Rauch
Christian Daniel Rauch (2 January 1777 – 3 December 1857) was a German sculptor. He founded the Berlin school of sculpture, and was the foremost German sculptor of the 19th century. Life Rauch was born at Arolsen in the Principality of Waldeck in the Holy Roman Empire. His father was employed at the court of Prince Frederick II of Hesse, and in 1790 the lad was apprenticed to the court sculptor of Arolsen, Friedrich Valentin. In 1795, he became assistant to Johann Christian Ruhl, the court sculptor of Kassel. After the death of his father in 1796 and his older brother in 1797, he moved to Berlin where he was appointed groom of the chamber in the king's household. He abandoned sculpture temporarily, but his new position provided a wider field for improvement, and he soon used the opportunity and practised his art in spare hours. Dick Rauch
Richard Harvie Rauch (July 15, 1893 – October 9, 1970) was an American football player and coach. Rauch attended Pennsylvania State University. He was a player-coach for the Boston Bulldogs, New York Yankees and the Maroons over the course of his five-year career. Rauch made his professional debut in the National Football League in 1925 with the Pottsville Maroons. He was also the first NFL coach to institute daily practices. Early career Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Rauch attended high school at Harrisburg Tech in 1906. He did not make the football team until his senior year, in 1909. He played center on that team. Johann Bonaventura von Rauch (25 July 1740 – 9 February 1814) was a Prussian Army major general. His sons Gustav, Leopold and Friedrich Wilhelm also took up military careers and became general as well. Life He was born in Peterskirchen/Oberbayern into a Bavarian family. His father was the teacher Johann Anton Rauch (c 1686–1745). He began his career in 1756 as a page at the court of the Principality of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel and in 1761 became an engineer in the Brunswick Army. Under Charles William Ferdinand, Duke of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel he took part in the closing phases of the Seven Years' War, namely in the 1761-62 sieges of Kassel (in which he was wounded), Meppen and Ziegenhain. František Rauch (4 February 1910 – 23 September 1996) was a Czechoslovak pianist and music teacher. Life and career Born in Plzeň, the son of a music instrument dealer, Rauch attended a business school in Plzeň before studying piano at the Prague Conservatory and composition with Vítězslav Novák. Before he began his career as a pianist, he worked for several months in the piano factory of August Förster. Rauch became known as a chamber musician, including pianist of the esteemed Pražské Trio with and , and as a concert pianist. His repertoire focused on compositions by Beethoven, Smetana, Liszt, Schumann and Vítězslav Novák. In Poland he was in demand as interpreter of the works of Chopin.
