The New Democratic Party of Quebec (NDPQ; , ) was a minor federalism in Quebec, federalist and social democracy, social-democratic provincial list of political parties in Quebec, political party in Quebec, Canada. The party was a revival of the comparable New Democratic Party of Quebec (1963), New Democratic Party of Quebec, which existed in various forms as the federal New Democratic Party (NDP)'s provincial section in Quebec from 1963 to 1991. This party, however, was never connected with the federal NDP. The modern party was registered on 30 January 2014. The party announced that it would dissolve at the end of 2024, after a decision taken by its members at a special meeting on November 6. Raymond Côté
Raymond Côté (born January 10, 1967) is a Canadians, Canadian politician, who was elected to the House of Commons of Canada in the 2011 Canadian federal election, 2011 election. He represented the electoral district of Beauport—Limoilou as a member of the New Democratic Party. Prior to being elected, Côté worked for Services Québec. He ran unsuccessfully in Lotbinière—Chutes-de-la-Chaudière in both the 2006 and 2008 elections. Côté has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Université Laval in economics and international relations. In the 2018 New Democratic Party of Quebec leadership election, Côté stood for leadership of the restarted provincial-level NDP, but he lost to Raphaël Fortin.
