Randy Armstrong (Red)
Red (stylized as RED or R3D) is an American Christian rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in 2002 by brothers guitarist Anthony Armstrong and bassist Randy Armstrong, with lead vocalist Michael Barnes. The band's first lineup also consisted of drummer Andrew Hendrix and guitarist Jasen Rauch. After they recorded several demos displaying a style of alternative, hard, and Christian rock music, Red landed a development deal with their longtime producer Rob Graves which led to a record deal with Christian label Essential Records in 2004. Their debut albums '' End of Silence'' (2006) and '' Innocence & Instinct'' (2009) were nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Gospel Album, and spawned the popular singles " Breathe Into Me" and " Death of Me". Creation Festival, commonly shortened to Creation, was an annual four-day Christian music festival in the United States. According to its organizers, it was the "Nation's Largest Christian Music Festival." Average attendance was between 50,000 and 100,000 annually. ''Until We Have Faces'' is the third studio album by American Christian rock band Red. It was released on February 1, 2011 through Essential Records and Sony Records. It was produced by Rob Graves. It is the first album the band released with four members, due to the absence of Jasen Rauch (although Rauch still contributed to songwriting). Production and recording The band released a teaser video on Facebook via YouTube featuring the band name on a sheet of parchment, which burned away, revealing the album title. Unfortunately the music in this teaser video was not in any song on the album.
