Railway Estate is a suburb of Townsville in the City of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. In the , Railway Estate had a population of 2,871 people. Geography Railway Estate is located on the south end of Ross Island, bounded by '' Ross Creek'' to the south-west and '' Ross River'' to the south-east. The suburb of South Townsville occupies the northern part of the island. North Townsville Road (Boundary Street) runs through from west to east, North Ward Road (Saunders Street) enters from the north, and South Townsville Road (Railway Avenue) enters from the south-west. The Ross River is a river in North Queensland, Australia. The long river flows through the city of Townsville and empties into the Coral Sea. It is the major waterway flowing through Townsville and the city's main source of drinking water. Block A of Townsville Technical College is a heritage-listed technical college building at 212–260 Stanley Street, Townsville CBD, City of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Department of Public Works (Queensland) and built from 1920 to 1921. It is also known as Townsville State High School and the City Campus of the Barrier Reef Institute of TAFE. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 13 May 2004. History The building was erected in 1920/21 as the Townsville Technical College. Designed for a prominent corner site by the Architectural Branch of the Queensland Department of Works, it is a substantial two-storeyed masonry edifice. Oonoonba is a suburb of Townsville in the City of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. In the , Oonoonba had a population of 2,050 people. Geography Oonoonba is approximately by road south from Townsville central business district.
