Railway Bridge, Kaunas
Railway Bridge in Kaunas crosses Nemunas river to connect Central Kaunas and lower Freda of Aleksotas district. Because of its green paint, it is often called ''Green'' (). Construction of the bridge started in 1859 and ended in 1862. The usage of the bridge started on the 4 February 1862. Together with central Kaunas Railway Station and Kaunas Railway Tunnel, it forms an important Kaunas railway hub in Lithuania. The Railway Bridge () is a bridge that crosses the Daugava river in Riga, the capital of Latvia. The first iron railway bridge in Riga, over 600 ftm long, was erected in 1871–1872 for the Riga–Jelgava Railway. The new bridge was inaugurated 1914, shelled twice, during World War I in 1917 and World War II in 1944, and was rebuilt both times. The bridge is nowadays the only railway bridge in Riga. New Railway Bridge () is a cable-stayed bridge over the Sava river in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. Opened in 1979, it was the second railway bridge over the Sava in Belgrade after the Old Railway Bridge in 1884, and fifth in the row of six bridges which span the river in the urban section of the city. It was the first railway bridge in Europe to use cable-stayed girder system, as this type of bridges was used only for the motorways until that point. Old Railroad Bridge () is a bridge over the Sava river in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It was the first railway bridge in Belgrade and today is one of two across the Sava, and three in general.
