"Radio Silence" is a song by Australian musician Gretta Ray, released on 3 August 2018 as the fourth and final single from Ray's debut EP '' Here and Now'' (2018). In speaking about the EP, Ray said "'Radio Silence' is pure heartbreak and a heavy sense of guilt." Ray told the ABC "I have this obsession with this sister song concept. I love writing about the same scenario but from a totally different angle or using a completely different emotion to tell the same story. So, I would say that 'Time' is quite hopeful and optimistic in comparison to 'Radio Silence', yet it's about a very similar scenario." The song was Ray's debut single in the United Kingdom. Gretta Ray (born May 22nd 1998) is an Australian singer-songwriter from Melbourne, Victoria. In 2016, she was the winner of the national Triple J Unearthed radio competition for bands and songwriters, and the 2016 Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition, with her song "Drive". Early life and education Gretta Ray grew up in Melbourne, Australia, attending Princes Hill Secondary College. She sang in choirs from the age of five, latterly singing and touring with Young Voices of Melbourne, and as the youngest member of ''If You See Her, Say Hello'', a group of 21 Melbourne-based singer-songwriters. The APRA Music Awards of 2020 are the 38th annual series, known as APRA Awards, in 2020. Paul Cashmere is an Australian entrepreneur, broadcaster, music journalist and media executive. In 1995 he founded the digital music CD-ROM magazine, ''Undercover'', with Australian photographer and domestic partner, Ros O'Gorman (1960–2018). In September 2011 the pair founded the Noise Network including ''Noise11.com.'' As of September 2011 Cashmere was CEO and executive producer of the Noise Network.
