''Raasaleela'' is a 1975 Indian Malayalam-language film directed by N. Sankaran Nair and produced by Carmel Johny for RJD Films, starring Kamal Haasan and Jayasudha in her Malayalam debut. It is a remake of the Tamil film '' Unarchigal'', which also starred Kamal Haasan but got released before the original. ''Unarchigal'' () is a 1976 Indian Tamil-language film co-written and directed by R. C. Sakthi in his directorial debut. The film stars Kamal Haasan and Srividya. It is a highly sensuous film which deals with sexually transmitted diseases, and subsequently the film ran into trouble with the censor board prompting a delay in its release. Salil Chowdhury (19 November 1925 – 5 September 1995) was an Indian music director, songwriter, lyricist, writer and poet who predominantly composed for Bengali, Hindi and Malayalam films. He composed music for films in 13 languages. This includes over 75 Hindi films, 41 Bengali films, 27 Malayalam films, and a few Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Odia and Assamese films. Vayalar Ramavarma (March 25, 1928 – October 27, 1975), also known as Vayalar, was an Indian poet and lyricist of Malayalam language.
