RKSV Minor
The Rooms Katholieke Voetbalvereniging Minor is a Dutch association football club from Nuth. Its colors are green-white. Home grounds are at Sportpark De Kollenberg. Its prime team plays in the Hoofdklasse since 2018. History The club was founded on June 27, 1918, at the Vaesrader Voetbal Club (VVC). In 1922 the name was changed to Minor. Minor reached a high in 1966 when, unbeaten over an entire football season, took a championship in the Eerste Klasse, at the time the highest amateur league. In 2018, it promoted to the Hoofdklasse after a second Eerste Klasse championship. In 2019, it held on to a place in the Hoofdklasse, finishing the season in 10th position. Nuth
Nuth (; li, Nut ) is a village and was a municipality in the province of Limburg, situated in the southern Netherlands. In January 2019, the municipality merged with Schinnen and Onderbanken to form Beekdaelen. The village of Nuth has 4,595 inhabitants (1 January 2021), and is with that the largest village of the municipality. The town hall of the municipality Nuth was also situated in the village Nuth. The other villages in the municipality were Hulsberg with 3972 inhabitants, Schimmert with 3184, Wijnandsrade with 1623 and Vaesrade with 997 inhabitants (data: 1-1-2021). ''Brabants Dagblad'' is a daily Dutch newspaper. It is distributed in the center and northeast of North Brabant, in 's-Hertogenbosch and Tilburg and their surrounding regions. The Vierde Divisie, formerly known as Hoofdklasse () is the second-highest league of amateur football in the Netherlands, and the fifth tier in general. Background The league is divided into two sections: Saturday and Sunday. This is a result of the traditional pillarisation ( nl, verzuiling), the segregation of Dutch society. The ''Saturday'' clubs are mainly Protestant Christian clubs, who were not allowed to play on Sunday. The ''Sunday'' clubs were in general Catholic and working class clubs, whose players had to work on Saturday and therefore could only play on Sunday. Although the pillarisation ended in the 1960s and 1970s, the clubs and the league have maintained this division. Eerste Klasse
The Eerste Klasse ( en, First Class) started as the 1st tier of football in the Netherlands and is now the 6th tier. The league is divided into eleven divisions, six for Saturday clubs and five for Sunday clubs. These divisions correspond to the six districts of the Royal Dutch Football Association: each district organises a Saturday competition and a Sunday competition, except for South II, which only has a Sunday competition. Each division consists of 14 teams. The champion of the Eerste Klasse divisions are promoted to the Vierde Divisie (formerly Hoofdklasse). Furthermore, a season is divided into two periods ( nl, periodes) of eight matches each. The winners of these periods qualify for promotion playoffs, provided they finish in the top nine overall in the season. SV TOP is a football club from Oss, Netherlands. SV TOP plays in the 2017–18 Sunday Eerste Klasse C. History TOP had a short spell in professional football from 1955 until 1957. First 1 year in the Eerste Klasse, which can be compared to the Eerste Divisie nowadays, and 1 year in the Tweede Divisie before voluntary rejoining the amateur ranks. In 1986 the club became Sunday amateur champions and in 1991 the club became pro again in a separate organization. The professional branch was renamed into TOP Oss in 1994 and renamed once again into FC Oss in 2009. For more details see FC Oss.
