Prêmio Saci
Prêmio Saci (English: ''Saci Award''), was an award presented annually by O Estado de S. Paulo, to honour the best Brazilian theater and film performers. History During the 1950s and 1960s, it was the biggest award in national cinema. His statuette was the Saci, a famous figure of Brazilian folklore, suggested by a reader through a competition opened by the newspaper. The trophy was sculpted by the plastic artist Victor Brecheret. O, or o, is the fifteenth letter and the fourth vowel letter in the Latin alphabet, used in the modern English alphabet, the alphabets of other western European languages and others worldwide. Eva Wilma Riefle Buckup Zarattini (; 14 December 1933 – 15 May 2021) was a Brazilian actress and dancer. Among her several roles, she starred in the 1950s Brazilian television series '' Alô, Doçura!''. Biography Eva Wilma was born in São Paulo. Her father, Otto Riefle Jr, was a German metallurgist from the Black Forest region of Pforzheim near Stuttgart in southern Germany. He went to Brazil, more precisely to the city of Rio de Janeiro in 1929, at the age of 19, to work in a metallurgy firm. Eva Wilma's mother, Luísa Carp, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she was the daughter of Ukrainian Jews from the city of Kiev who immigrated to Argentina. Eva's parents met in the city of São Paulo when Eva's father was transferred to the city, and her mother, after living in Buenos Aires, moved to Brazil. Ruth De Souza
Ruth Pinto de Souza (May 12, 1921 – July 28, 2019) was a Brazilian actress. Biography As a member of the Black Experimental Theater (''Teatro Experimental do Negro,'' TEN), she is one of the first Black actresses in dramatic theater in Brazil and one of the first to perform at the Teatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro. The Black Experimental Theater was created in 1944 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to combat racism and create opportunities for Black talent in theater. Along with other Afro-Brazilians women, Ruth participated in the premiere performance of TEN as a member of the chorus and later played the Native Woman, the only female character in Eugene O'Neill's play ''The Emperor Jones''. She was awarded with Prêmio Saci. She died in Rio de Janeiro in the neighbourhood of Copacabana in July 2019 at the age of 98. Rachel de Queiroz (, November 17, 1910 – November 4, 2003) was a Brazilian author, translator and journalist. Biography Rachel de Queiroz was born on 17 November 1910 in Fortaleza, capital of the northeastern state of Ceará. During her childhood, her family spent a couple of years in Rio de Janeiro and Belém before moving back to Fortaleza. She began her career in journalism in 1927 under the pen name "Rita de Queiroz". She entered the national spotlight with the unexpected success of her debut novel '' O Quinze'' in 1930. She published another three novels before moving to Rio in 1939. Osvaldo Moles (14 March 1913 – 14 May 1967) was a Brazilian journalist, and radio announcer. He made important contributions the Brazilian radio, journalism, literature, and cinema. Biography Born in Santos in 1913, Moles soon moved with his parents to São Paulo. His ancestors were Italian immigrants. He had a great relationship with the family of his wife, Anita Ramos.
