Playing God refers to assuming powers of decision, intervention or control metaphorically reserved to God. Acts described as playing God may include, for example, deciding who should live or die in a situation where not everyone can be saved, the use and development of biotechnologies such as synthetic biology, and in vitro fertilisation. Usually the expression is used pejoratively and to criticize or argue against the supposedly God-like actions. The album's track ''Playing God (신의 놀이)'' won the Best Folk Song at the 2017 Korean Music Awards. Background ''Playing God'' was produced by Kim Kyeongmo, a member of Sunkyeol, and the album was only available online at the time of release. ''Playing God'' is a 1997 American dramatic crime thriller film directed by Andy Wilson and written by Mark Haskell Smith. It stars David Duchovny (in his first starring role after achieving success with ''The X-Files''), Timothy Hutton, and Angelina Jolie. Plot Duchovny plays Eugene Sands, a surgeon who has his medical license revoked after operating under the influence of amphetamines and opiates. Hutton's character, a crime lord named Raymond Blossom, happens upon him in a bar where Sands saves someone's life with an emergency procedure to inflate a collapsed lung.
