Plasmus
Plasmus () is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. He is depicted as an enemy of the Teen Titans. Publication history Plasmus first appeared in ''The New Teen Titans'' #14 and was created by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez. Fictional character biography Otto Von Furth was a mine worker in East Berlin, Germany until an unexpected cave-in trapped him and four fellow miners for seven days. During those days, Otto's co-workers died, leaving him as the only survivor. He and his fellow miners had been mining for radioactive radium and ended up exposed to it and when rescued, he was rushed to the hospital. Otto is later kidnapped by ex-Nazi General Zahl, who mutated him into a blob-like state. His body changed into an unstable protoplasm. He is brought into the Brotherhood of Evil where he took the name Plasmus. He and the Brotherhood of Evil fight the Teen Titans on different occasions. Cinderblock is a supervillain who appeared in DC Comics. He first appeared in the ''Teen Titans'' cartoon. Like Batman character Harley Quinn and Superman character Mercy Graves, Cinderblock crossed out of his animated series debut and into the comics following '' Final Crisis''. Fictional character biography Teen Titans (animated series) Cinderblock is a humanoid concrete monster whose vocal effects were provided by Dee Bradley Baker. In "Divide and Conquer", Cinderblock is used by Slade to break Plasmus out of prison after Robin and Cyborg messed up their combo move which resulted in an attempted prison break and Cyborg leaving the Teen Titans after an argument with Robin. After Cinderblock unleashed Plasmus, Slade send Cinderblock to attack the city while the Teen Titans were busy fighting Plasmus. Before this, he left his mentor Batman, in an effort to make it on their own as crime-fighters. ''Salvation Run'' is a seven-issue 2007-2008 DC Comics limited series which was designed to tie into the company's major event series ''Final Crisis'' in 2008. Premise The premise of the series, which is based on a pitch by George R. R. Martin, is that the majority of the DC Universe's supervillains—both major ones (such as Lex Luthor and the Joker) and newer or more obscure ones (such as Scandal Savage and Crazy Quilt) -- have been captured by the Suicide Squad and imprisoned on a distant planet. The story features the villains splitting into alliances and trying to find a way to escape their prison, or choosing to rule the planet "Salvation" on which they have landed. Bill Willingham started as writer, but had to hand the project over to Sturges after only three issues (of seven proposed) because of illness. The first issue was released in November 2007. Alexander Joseph "Lex" Luthor () is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Lex Luthor originally appeared in ''Action Comics'' #23 (cover dated: April 1940). He has since endured as the archnemesis of the superhero Superman. Lex Luthor was originally depicted as a narcissistic and egotistical mad scientist from the 1960s to the early 1980s. Since the late 1980s, he has more often been portrayed as the power-mad CEO of LexCorp. He wishes to rid the world of Superman, ostensibly because he views Superman as a threat to humanity, but in reality envies Superman's popularity and influence.
