''Planet Country'' is the tenth studio album released by Australian country musician Lee Kernaghan. The album was released in November 2009 and peaked at 13 on the ARIA Charts. A limited edition featured a 10-track bonus CD titled ''Bringing the Music Home''. At the 2011 Country Music Awards of Australia, the album won Top Selling Album of the Year. Lee Kernaghan OAM (born 15 April 1964) is an Australian country music singer, songwriter and guitarist. Kernaghan has won four ARIA Awards and three APRA Awards, and has sold over two million albums, and as of 2021, has won 38 Golden Guitars at the Country Music Awards of Australia (second to Slim Dusty). He was the 2008 Australian of the Year, in recognition of his support for rural and regional Australia. Garth Ivan Richard Porter (born 24 September 1948) is a New Zealand-born Australian multi-instrumental musician, songwriter and record producer. He was a member, on keyboards and backing vocals, of the pop group, Sherbet (1970–84), and co-wrote both of their number-one singles, " Summer Love" (March 1975) and "Howzat" (May 1976). ''Ultimate Hits'' is the second greatest hits album by Australian country musician Lee Kernaghan. It was released in September 2011, peaked at No.8 on the ARIA chart. The album was certified gold in 2013. Kernaghan invited his fans on Facebook to help him select the tracks for this album. The ARIA Charts are the main Australian music sales charts, issued weekly by the Australian Recording Industry Association. The charts are a record of the highest selling songs and albums in various genres in Australia. ARIA became the official Australian music chart in June 1988, succeeding the Kent Music Report, which had been Australia's national music sales charts since 1974.
