Piotr Chvertko
Piotr Vladimirovich Chvertko (, born on 3 October 1915) was a Soviet politician who was the 4th Chairman of the Committee for State Security of the Moldovan Soviet Socialist Republic, Committee for State Security (KGB) of the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic from 1966 till 1975. Biography Chvertko was moved to Moldova from the Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz Soviet Republic. He was a specialist in counterespionage. His job in Chişinău refers to the Ivan Bodiul epoch of the Rule by Communist Party of the Moldavian Soviet Republic and the change in the leadership of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. The Soviet leaders had an evident accent on the stopping of the nationalistic and bourgeois ideology. Some of the achievements of the Nikita Khrushchev epoch of de-Stalinization were underwented. Committee For State Security Of The Moldovan Soviet Socialist Republic
Committee for State Security of the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic (Russian language, Russian: Комитет государственной безопасности Mолдавский ССР), also referred to as the KGB of the MSSR or the CSS of Moldavia, was the security agency of the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic, being the local branch of KGB, Committee for State Security of the USSR. On 9 September 1991, the KGB of the MSSR was transformed into the Ministry of National Security (now the Information and Security Service of the Republic of Moldova). Established in 1954, its rights were limited by the early 1960s, with the KGB border guard, once subordinated to the Moldavian KGB, reported directly to party leaders in Moscow. From July 1972 to its disbandment, the KGB was part of the Council of Ministers of the MSSR. From 1940 to 1991, all chairmen of the KGB were army generals.
