Photo Finish Records is an American independent record label founded in 2006 in New York City by Matt Galle, listed as one of Billboard’s “40 Under 40” in 2013 and 2015 as well as named a 2020 Billboard Indie Power Player and cited twice on Billboard’s Power List. The label was first distributed by Atlantic Records, then Universal Music Group. Virgin Music Label & Artist Services is its current distributor. History Atlantic Records (2006–12) In 2006, Photo Finish and Matt Galle signed a joint venture deal with Atlantic Records. Their first release was the debut self-titled five-song EP from the New-York-based post-hardcore band Envy on the Coast, followed by the debut EP and studio album from Washington-based rock band Danger Radio. ''Our Own House'' is the debut studio album by American indie pop band MisterWives, released on February 24, 2015 through Photo Finish Records. As of July 2015, it has reached No. 31 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Four songs from the album, " Reflections", "Coffins", "Imagination Infatuation" and "Vagabond", previously appeared on the band's debut extended play (EP) '' Reflections''. From its debut on June 20, 2009, through October 13, 2012, the chart ranked the airplay of songs across alternative, mainstream rock, and triple A radio stations in the United States. "Reflections" is the debut single from American indie pop band MisterWives. It initially appeared on the band's debut EP of the same name and was later included on their debut studio album ''Our Own House''. Written by lead singer Mandy Lee, the song peaked at #13 on the '' Billboard'' rock chart in 2015. The Mowgli's were an American alternative rock band from Calabasas, California. Background and formation Di Panni, Appelbaum, Trent, and Warren were all friends from Calabasas High School. They were joined by Earl, a childhood friend of some of the bandmates. In late 2009, Michael Vincze met Colin Dieden, who had recently moved from Kansas City, at a party. Later, the two wrote one of the group's first songs by combining elements of pieces they were both developing. This would become the track "The Great Divide". It was during an impromptu trip to San Francisco that Vincze and Dieden wrote the track "San Francisco". The Downtown Fiction
The Downtown Fiction was an American rock band from Fairfax, Virginia. The band consisted of guitarist and lead vocalist Cameron Leahy, bassist and backing vocalist David Pavluk, guitarist and backing vocalist Wes Dimond, and drummer Kyle Rodgers. Music career Lead singer/guitarist/primary songwriter Cameron Leahy met former drummer Eric Jones at Westfield High School, where they became friends. They had a mutual interest in music, and formed The Downtown Fiction in the summer of 2008. They began to post demos on the band's MySpace page, where their fan base initialized.
