Petter Furberg
Petter Furberg (15 December 1923 in Sande – 22 June 1999) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Vestfold in 1969, and was re-elected on two occasions. On the local level he was a member of Horten city council from 1953 to 1971. He chaired the municipal party chapter from 1971 to 1974. Sande, Vestfold
Sande is a former municipality in Vestfold County, Norway. Its administrative centre is the village of Sande i Vestfold. The municipality of Sande was established on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). Sande is located in a beautiful area by the sea about south of Oslo (50 minutes driving time). In recent years the administrative center of Sande has grown significantly due to many new apartments and stores. Portions of the 1973 '' Olsenbanden'' movie ''Olsenbanden tar gull'' from were filmed in Sande. Another portion was filmed Stavern. General information Name The municipality (originally the parish) is named after the old ''Sande'' farm (Old Norse: ''Sandvin'') because the first church was built there. The Labour Party ( nb, Arbeiderpartiet; nn, Arbeidarpartiet; A/Ap; se, Bargiidbellodat), formerly The Norwegian Labour Party ( no, Det norske Arbeiderparti, DNA), is a social-democratic political party in Norway. Storting
The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. A member of Stortinget is known in Norwegian as a ''stortingsrepresentant'', literally "Storting representative". Vestfold
Vestfold is a traditional region, a former county and a current electoral district in Eastern Norway. In 2020 the county became part of the much larger county of Vestfold og Telemark. Located on the western shore of the Oslofjord, it bordered the previous Buskerud and Telemark counties. The county administration was located in Tønsberg, Norway's oldest city, and the largest city is Sandefjord. With the exception of the city-county of Oslo, Vestfold was the smallest county in Norway by area. Vestfold was the only county in which all municipalities had declared Bokmål to be their sole official written form of the Norwegian language. Horten
is a town and municipality in Vestfold in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway—located along the Oslofjord. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Horten. The municipality also includes the town of Åsgårdstrand and the villages of Borre, Skoppum, and Nykirke. The town of Horten was separated from the municipality of Borre to become a municipality of its own in 1858. The neighboring municipalities of Borre and Horten were merged back together on 1 January 1988. The name of the new united municipality was first ''Borre'', but after a referendum it was changed to ''Horten'' on 1 June 2002. The local newspaper in Horten is named Gjengangeren, and covers mostly local news. It is also available online (see external links section). Bjarne Mørk Eidem (4 October 1936 – 2 October 2022) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was chairman of the Norwegian Aquaculture Center in Brønnøy. Biography Bjarne Mørk Eidem was a member of the Norwegian Parliament from 1969 to 1993, representing Nordland. He was made Minister of Fisheries in the second cabinet of Gro Harlem Brundtland from 1986 to 1989, as well as minister of Nordic cooperation.
