Peterborough ( ) is a city on the Otonabee River in Ontario, Canada, about 125 kilometres (78 miles) northeast of Toronto. According to the 2021 Census, the population of the City of Peterborough was 83,651. History The Holy Trinity is the Relational Matrix of Life "create, love, act". This school's name honours the prominent place of the Holy Trinity in the Christian faith. Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School is a Catholic Secondary School in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. The school is administered by the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board. It was founded in 1998 and is located at 1355 Lansdowne Street West. As of 2006, it had 867 students and 86 staff. Its mascot is a green tornado for the school's team the "Hurricanes". In fall of 2011, Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School received the official opening ceremony and blessing to its new edition that had taken just over two years to completely build. Grafton is a community in the province of Ontario. It is in Northumberland County, in the township of Alnwick/Haldimand. It is 12 km east of Cobourg, Ontario on the former Highway 2 (now County Road 2), with close access to Highway 401. The hamlet is near the geographically significant Oak Ridges Moraine at Rice Lake. Grafton was originally called Grover's Tavern until March, 1832. The original Grover's Tavern, the namesake building of the hamlet, still stands today as the Grafton Village Inn, a restaurant and B & B in the heart of the hamlet. It was also referred to early in its history as Haldimand, which is the name of the township it is located in. Grafton is an excellent example of the type of hamlets that flourished in the 19th century. Newcastle is a community in the municipality of Clarington in Durham Region, Ontario, Canada. The community inherits the former name of the present-day municipality which it belongs to. Port Hope is a municipality in Southern Ontario, Canada, approximately east of Toronto and about west of Kingston. It is located at the mouth of the Ganaraska River on the north shore of Lake Ontario, in the west end of Northumberland County. The private Trinity College School opened here in 1868.
