Peter Daut
Peter Daut (born September 18, 1983) is an American journalist who has been an anchor and investigative reporter at KESQ-TV in Palm Springs, California, since February 2020. He was born in Torrance, California, grew up in Placentia and graduated from El Dorado High School. Daut then attended the University of Southern California, and graduated cum laude with double degrees in broadcast journalism and political science. He also minored in Spanish. Prior to joining KESQ-TV KESQ-TV (channel 42) is a television station licensed to Palm Springs, California, United States, serving as the ABC affiliate for the Coachella Valley. It is owned by the News-Press & Gazette Company (NPG) alongside five low-power stations: CBS affiliate KPSP-CD (channel 38), Fox affiliate KDFX-CD (channel 33), CW+ affiliate KCWQ-LD (channel 2), Telemundo affiliate KUNA-LD (channel 15), and AccuWeather affiliate KYAV-LD (channel 12). El Dorado High School is a 9th–12th grade public high school located in Placentia, California. Established in 1966, it is one of four high schools in the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District and serves the northern parts of Placentia and Yorba Linda far eastern Fullerton, east of the 57 freeway, and a small portion of Brea. The EDHS campus is located at 1651 Valencia Avenue, approximately 29 miles from downtown Los Angeles and 18 miles from the California coastline.
