Pentagon Papers (film)
''The Pentagon Papers'' is a 2003 American historical drama television film about Daniel Ellsberg and the events leading up to the publication of the ''Pentagon Papers'' in 1971. The film documents Ellsberg's life starting with his work for RAND Corporation and ending with the day on which the judge declared a mistrial in Ellsberg's espionage case. The film was directed by Rod Holcomb, written by Jason Horwitch, and stars James Spader as Ellsberg. The cast also includes Claire Forlani, Alan Arkin, and Paul Giamatti. The film aired on FX on March 9, 2003. A historical drama (also period drama, costume drama, and period piece) is a work set in a past time period, usually used in the context of film and television. Historical drama includes historical fiction and romances, adventure films, and swashbucklers. Anthony Russo (whistleblower)
Anthony J. Russo Jr. (October 14, 1936 – August 6, 2008) was an American researcher who assisted Daniel Ellsberg, his friend and former colleague at the RAND Corporation, in copying the Pentagon Papers. Early life Russo was born in Suffolk, Virginia. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in aeronautical engineering in 1960, then worked on a NASA space capsule program. He continued his education at Princeton University, earning master's degrees in aeronautical engineering and in public affairs. Cornelius Mahoney Sheehan (October 27, 1936 – January 7, 2021) was an American journalist.
