Penny Grice-Whittaker
Penny B. Grice-Whittaker ( Grice, 11 October 1964) is a former English golfer turned singer. As an amateur golfer, Grice-Whittaker won multiple events in England and was a bronze medalist for the Great Britain and Ireland team at the 1984 Espirito Santo Trophy. She also participated at the Curtis Cup that year for Great Britain before turning professional in 1985. As a professional golfer, Grice-Whittaker won her first Ladies European Tour event at the 1986 Belgian Ladies Godiva Open. She later won additional LET events in 1991 at the Weetabix Women's British Open and Longines Classic. On the Australian Ladies Professional Golf Tour, Grice-Whittaker won the 1992 Hisiki Ladies Queensland Open. The Chase (British Game Show)
''The Chase'' is a British television quiz show broadcast on ITV1 and hosted by Bradley Walsh. Contestants play against a professional quizzer, known as the "chaser", who attempts to prevent them from winning a cash prize. The six chasers are Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan, and Darragh Ennis. Labbett and Wallace have both been chasers since series 1, while Hegerty joined in series 2, Sinha in series 4, Ryan in series 9 and Ennis in series 13. With rare exceptions for special episodes, only one chaser participates in any given episode. Women's Home Internationals
The Women's Home Internationals were an amateur team golf championship for women contested between the four Home Nations of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, where Ireland was represented by the whole island of Ireland on an All-Ireland basis. After the Ladies' Golf Union, the former governing body for women's golf in Great Britain and Ireland, merged into The R&A in 2016, The R&A took over organisation of the event. The match was played annually and the venue cycled between the four nations. In 2022 the match was replaced by a combined Women's and Men's Home Internationals. The event started in 1905 when Mr. T. The 1983 European Ladies' Team Championship took place 22–26 June at the Royal Waterloo Golf Club in Lasne, Belgium. It was the 13th women's golf amateur European Ladies' Team Championship. Venue The hosting club was founded in 1923 by Rodolphe Seeldrayers. The course was designed by architect Frederick William Hawtree and established in 1961 in Ohain, Lasne, in the region of Wallon Brabant, close to the historic Waterloo battlefield, 20 kilometres south-east of the city center of Brussels, Belgium. European Ladies' Team Championship
The European Ladies' Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for women organised by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1959. It was played in odd-numbered years from 1959 to 2007 and has been played annually since 2008 (with the exception of 2012). Format Currently, the championship is contested by up to 20 teams, each of 6 players. The format consists of two rounds of strokeplay, out of which the five lowest scores from each team's six players will count each day. The total addition of the five lowest scores will constitute the team's score and determine the teams qualified for the last three rounds of matchplay.
