Pearl Modiadie
Pearl Modiadie (born December 29, 1987) is a South African television presenter, radio DJ, actress and producer best known to TV audiences for presenting the SABC1 music talk show Zaziwa. Life and career 1987-2009: Early life and education Pearl Modiadie was born in Xubeni section of Tembisa township in Ekurhuleni in the Gauteng province of South Africa. Modiadie went to Norkem Park High School in Kempton Park in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng and matriculated in 2005. In 2007 she enrolled at Rosebank College to study a diploma in Media Studies and Journalism. In 2009 Pearl Modiadie completed her diploma at Rosebank College. Career She was previously best known for presenting the e.tv kids programming block ''Craz-e''. In 2007 she co-hosted the kids game show ''Crazed Out''. She was also a DJ at YFM and was the content producer for the Television Series ''Sistahood'', which she also hosted until April 2012. Tembisa, Gauteng
Thembisa, formerly Tembisa (Dindela), is a large township situated to the north of Kempton Park on the East Rand, Gauteng, South Africa. It was established in 1957 when black people were resettled from Alexandra and other areas in Edenvale, Kempton Park, Midrand and Germiston. History The township was founded in 1957. After the Afrikaner-dominated National Party gained power in 1948 and began to implement apartheid, the pace of forced removals and the creation of townships outside legally designated white areas increased. The Johannesburg council established new townships for black people evicted from the city's freehold areas. In 1956, townships were laid out for particular ethnic groups as part of the state's strategy to sift black people into groupings that would later form the building blocks of the so-called "independent homelands". Kempton Park, Gauteng
Kempton Park is a city in the East Rand region of Gauteng province, South Africa. It is part of the City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality. It is situated south of Tembisa, one of the largest townships in South Africa, which is also part of Ekurhuleni. South Africa's busiest airport, O. R. Tambo International Airport is located in Kempton Park. The name of the city is sometimes written as "Kemptonpark" in Afrikaans.
